Foam Museum: Helmut Newton

August 4, 2016No Comments
The legendary and provocative photographer Helmut Newton has taken over Amsterdam's Foam Museum with his seductive fashion-forward prints and photographs.

Much like the Banksy & Warhol exhibition at Moco, I did not get to the Foam Museum as early as I hoped. I finally visited last Thursday after work. It was between the Zara Half Yearly Sale and Helmut Newton – Zara can wait. This is the best exhibition I’ve seen in a long time. So […]

A Day in Mitte, Berlin

June 22, 2016No Comments
At the heart of Berlin, exists Mitte, an affluent neighborhood known for its shops, eats, and galleries. Find out the best way to spend a day in Mitte!

At the heart of Berlin, exists Mitte, an affluent neighborhood known for its shops, eats, and galleries. Though it may not impress the hipsters in Kreuzberg or the trendsetters in neighboring Prenzlauer Berg, Mitte seems to have it all. Here, abandoned graffitied buildings sit adjacent to modern contemporary homes. Sprightly young families sip on freshly […]

Moco Amsterdam: Banksy & Warhol

May 26, 2016No Comments
The opening exhibition at Moco Amsterdam Museum features street artist, Banksy, and pop artist, Andy Warhol side-by-side!

A real blogger would’ve been at the opening of the new and anticipated Moco Amsterdam a month and a half ago, but let’s be honest, I’ve been busy. Doing what you ask? I don’t know? Drinking excessive amounts of Heineken in Vondelpark and binge watching Mindy Project season four on Hulu, perhaps. Today, I finally made the […]

Rotterdam Markthal: A Psychedelic Foodie Paradise

April 30, 2015No Comments
Rotterdam Markthal

The Rotterdam Markthal in Blaak square opened it’s doors for the first time on October 1, 2014. Since then this complex has been open daily and is a famed national landmark. The first floor is an open market with 96 stands. Situated below it, are a grocery store and a four story parking lot. But […]

The perfectly strange but somehow it works, Japanese meets Lebanese bento lunch in Paris. I tried to stop by @mokonutsbakery without a reservation. Not happening, but lucky for me, the friendly owner directed me a few doors down to @mokochaya where they were just beginning their lunch service. Last weekend, I visited my friend’s new bar, food hall, club and most importantly social hub of Versailles, Sept Lieux. Sept Lieux is just a few steps from the famous Chateau de Versailles, housed in an unassuming building and former post office. They first opened in 2024 just in time for the Olympics, and this summer the fun is heating up. Stop and smell the roses my friends. 🌹Are you ready for King’s Day? Ps it’s on the 26th this year - don’t get caught by surprise. And yes, Amsterdam is about to look just like this. 😮 👑 🍊 🇳🇱 Tulips in Rhode Island. Should I move back home? #wickedtulips #wickedtulipsflowerfarm #rhodeislandlife #easterHiking Acatenango and Fuego volcanoes in Guatemala was one of the best experiences I had last year. Being this close to an active volcano, mind blowing. 🤯 Maybe a trip to the mountains doesn’t solve all your problems, but it certainly makes them feel small. Reminiscing with# some footage. Read the full experience over on my blog, link in profile. Last February I went snorkeling and diving in Belize. We visited Hopkins and Caye Caulker and went snorkeling and diving with a few different companies. Caye Caulker was the clear winner! Amsterdam Light Festival 2024. Edition 13, theme rituals is lit until January 19th. Walk, bike or cruise ✨We visited the little Christmas Market at the Tofta Manor just outside of Gothenburg, Sweden. How cute and cozy and freezing it was. Christmas gifts, local goods, crafts and even pony rides for the tots. 🧑‍🎄
